Program: Duck Valley Water Service Notifications · Effective date: June 9, 2026
Program Description
The Duck Valley Irrigation/Water Department offers a text message (SMS) notification program that sends water-service alerts to tract owners and water users — including when irrigation water to your tract is turned on or off, system-wide water shutoff or service notices, and drinking-water advisories.
How to Opt In
You opt in by providing your mobile number to Department staff, in person or by phone, when registering for water service and requesting to receive notifications. There is no public website sign-up form.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on your water-service activity (for example, when your water is turned on or off) and any system-wide notices or advisories.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Such charges are billed by and payable to your mobile service provider. The Department does not charge for these notifications.
Opt Out & Help
You can cancel the SMS service at any time by texting STOP. After you send STOP, we will send a confirmation message and you will no longer receive SMS messages. To rejoin, sign up again as described above.

Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may change, and message delivery is subject to carrier availability.
